A week ago Mickey and I went to my parent's house for Mother's Day weekend. We just arrived when my mom started dropping hints that she'd like to eat at Breakfast at Antonio's in Tagaytay City for Mother's Day.
I called the restaurant hoping to get an early morning reservation as the road that leads to Tagaytay gets really congested during special occasions and holidays. Unfortunately, they do not accept reservations, so I told my mom that we should be there early so we can get a table.
The tables with the good view of the Taal lake and volcano at the lower level of the restaurant were already taken (other diners arrived earlier than us), so we got this table at the upper level of the restaurant instead for our group of 10 as my Uncle's family also joined us to celebrate Mother's Day. It was a mini-reunion of sorts, I haven't seen them since Christmas!
Breakfast at Antonio’s serves an all-day breakfast menu, European
brunch fare to classic deli favorites.
My dad had the Reuben Sandwich - home made corned beef with swiss cheese, sauerkraut, onion, drizzled and drizzled with Russian dressing.
You'll also find breakfast favorites, pancakes, waffles, roesti, crepes, omellete, fritata, some healthy options, all day sandwiches, pizza, pasta, lunch specials and desserts on the menu.
My mom, Mickey and I had our favorite Eggs Benedict which is served with warm, toasted English muffins, light sauteed ham, and
runny poached eggs smothered in a rich but slightly
tangy Hollandaise sauce. It also has a slice of cinnamon covered pineapple and banana on the side.
Before we left (which is about 10:30 a.m. already), we passed by the deli on the left side of the restaurant where you can buy freshly baked bread, homemade jams, curds, yogurt as well as prepared meats.
For early breakfast in Tagaytay, you'll find Breakfast at Antonio’s along Aguinaldo Highway, Tagaytay City, Batangas. For inquiries, call (+63 046)-413-0738.
