Have you ever been to Carolyn Robb's The Royal Touch at SM Aura? This is my favorite "waiting spot" whenever Mickey has a meeting or an event to attend at SM Aura. Alright, there are other places for coffee here (like Starbucks, UCC and Paul) but those places can get a bit crowded at times. I like this coffee place better because they play relaxing classical music, the interiors are decked with turquoise colored padded walls, the custom gray chairs are comfortable to sit on and they have beautiful chandeliers that light up the dining area.
Carolyn Robb's The Royal Touch has an extensive menu of cupcakes that ranges from Php 80.00 to Php 120.00, muffins from Php 80.00 to Php 90.00, mini-cupcakes (box of 5) for Php 150.00 and mini cupcakes (box of 10) for Php 270.00. Check-out their yummy selection:
Although The Royal Touch is better known for their "Royal" cupcakes, today I am trying the Creamy Garlic Tomato Pasta. It looks simple at first, but this pasta dish is full of flavor with the chorizo slices giving the dish a punch of flavor, the melted cheese beneath combined with the fresh tomatoes, garlic, herbs, and topped with young sweet corn elevates it to a new level. It's quite a yummy surprise!
Of course, what would a visit here be if you don't try what they are famous for - their muffins and cupcakes! I ordered a Chocolate Macadamia Handmaiden Muffin, a piece costs Php 80.00 with a cup of freshly brewed Illy coffee for sweet endings.
