Queen for a Day at Princess Hazel Salon and Spa

Nestled in it's own private sanctuary in a mid-rise condominium in Quezon City, Princess Hazel Salon and Spa is a welcome escape from our fast-paced lifestyles as Urbanites.  The Royalty inspired interiors and thrones as beauty seats keeps your mind set for nothing less than the Royal Treatment for your Salon/Spa visit.    

Princess Hazel Salon and Spa has two levels of luxurious pampering areas, on the first level you'll find their beauty thrones where you can have your manicures, pedicures, hand and foot spa services.  There is also a private room where you can have hair (cut, color, treatments) and make-up services.

At the second level, behind the gold curtains, you'll find their massage and body scrub area.  They also have two separate private rooms for face and body treatments and for waxing services.

While I was having my hair colored, treated and cut downstairs, Mickey tried the one hour shiatsu massage.  He said that the massage was spot on, it was a good quality massage and not at all mechanical (read: predictable).  

Being a regular at most spas, he noticed that there were no hangers for his clothes, instead he was given a medium-sized box for his belongings and clothes.  He said that a simple hook and hanger for his clothes would have been better and added that when he's in a spa with dim lighting and in "relax" mode already, he does not want to carefully fold his clothes just to avoid creases.

He also noticed that the spa shorts prepared on the massage bed for him to wear, was too small for his 6 foot tall frame, he actually thought the spa shorts were for girls.  So he asked the masseuse if he can get one in his size.  The masseuse brought three new shorts for him to try, and they were all the same size.  He said that even though the spa shorts did not fit him, he still enjoyed the massage and was so relaxed that he went to lala land.

As for me, I tried their Queen Hair Package, it includes:

Hair Color
Brazilian Blowout Hair Treatment
Hair Cut

The Queen Hair Package's price varies depending on your hair length: Php 3,499.00 (for short hair), Php 4,499.00 (for medium-length hair) and Php 5,499.00 (for long hair).  The length of my hair is classified as long.

For hair color, I chose Schwarzkopf Professional's Igora Royal hair dye

I am quite drawn to shades of brown, but this time I'm taking my hair color down several notches from my current color to cover some "natural" highlights, haha!

I'm narrowing down my hair color choice around the code 7 range and let my very able colorist decide for me.  My fate is in his hands.

Princess Hazel Salon and Spa proudly uses the Brazilian Blowout brand for the hair treatment in their Queen Hair Package.  Here's how the Brazilian Blowout hair treatment process goes:

1. Shampoo - Your stylist will shampoo your hair with the Brazilian Blowout Anti-Residue Professional Shampoo and towel dry your hair after.
2. Treatment application - Your hair will be divided into sections and the Brazilian Blowout Professional Treatment will be combed through each section of the hair, starting from the root to the tip.
3. Blow-dry
4. Straighten Hair (using flat iron) - Once your hair is dry, your stylist will use a flat iron to further straighten your hair.
5. Rinse - Once finished, the stylist will rinse your hair (no shampoo), towel-dry and apply the Brazilian Blowout Masque to further seal the formulation.  After 1 minute, your stylist will rinse your hair once again and towel dry your hair.
6. Apply serum - Your stylist will apply the Brazilian Blowout Smoothing Serum to further seal the cuticle and detangle the hair prior to blow dry.
7. Blow-dry - The stylist will blow dry your hair straight one last time and style as desired.

Here's my take on the Queen Hair Package:

Hair Color: I love my new hair color using Schwarzkopf Professional's Igora Royal hair color!  It has covered my "natural highlights" and what's best is that it's not too dark.

Brazilian Blowout Hair Treatment: It was my first time to try the Brazilian Blowout treatment and I love that my hair is healthy, frizz-free and shiny after the treatment.  What's best is, there is no down time.  You can wash and air dry your hair, have a work out, put your hair in a ponytail and it will still be smooth, frizz-free and shiny.  I like this treatment better than the hair rebond process. 

Hair Cut: I was also given a hair cut for fresher and healthier hair.  I love it!

The entire process (from start to finish) took three and a half hours. 

   Ladies, wear your crown! Whether visible or not, set aside some time for some pampering.  You deserve it!
