If there is one beverage I am sure to drink every morning to kick start my day, it would definitely be a cup of coffee. I oftentimes find myself drinking between two to three cups a day and capping off a good meal with it. You can call it my happy drink.
So, can you just imagine how I happily welcomed with open arms an invitation, to celebrate the opening of UK's No. 1 Coffee Chain, Costa Coffee, One Global Place, Bonifacio Global City? On opening day, Costa Coffee BGC was filled with coffee lovers like me, enjoying Costa coffee pairings with pastries and sandwiches. I ordered a Double Chocolate Cookie Mocha Frostino and surprisingly, even if it sounds sinful, it wasn't too sweet at all. I loved that the sugar was on a controlled level.
Costa Coffee's interiors has a relaxed casual vibe and filled with British memorabilia - a union jack designed sofa, red telephone booths, miniature red double decker buses and famous landmarks immortalized on the walls. It is clear that they are proud of their British heritage. Who wouldn't be? With over 40 years of coffee making expertise and founded by brothers Sergio and Bruno Costa in London in 1971, Costa now has over 3,000 Costa Coffee stores around the world.
What is the Costa Coffee trademark? The Costa brothers created their unique blend of coffee, which is a
combination of Arabica and Robusta coffee beans. They called this smooth, round
but rich tastes, the Mocha Italia and the blend is a secret that is closely guarded. To this day, Costa Coffee
remains true to the original Mocha Italia recipe, which is still slow-roasted
in the Old Paradise Street Roastery in London.
Costa coffees are all handcrafted and espresso based, giving each specialty, like Flat White, the Mocha Italia, aroma and body a proper cup of coffee should have.
