My favorite season is finally here! Christmas sends joy and happiness to our hearts at Casa Villa. Probably because, it is one great reminder that Jesus Christ was born. There is no greater way to celebrate this special gift than to gather and celebrate that special day.
I guess you know by now that my favorite thing to do is dressing up our special table for two at Casa Villa. I always change it up every year and this year, I wanted something very festive, colorful and something bright on the table. This year, there are new pieces, heirlooms and current favorites.
This is Mickey's view at the dinner table, he has a view of our one year old custom Christmas tree from Color it Christmas as well as the matching wreath we bought from them last year. It is quite special because it's our very first big Christmas tree. I remember the very first time it was delivered, I just sat in front of it, looking up and gazed at every single detail. I was so in love with it. Sometimes, when I'm in the living room, I find myself glancing at it. Honestly, just looking at it, makes me happy.
This is my view, the TV is sometimes a distraction that I'd turn it off when its meal time. I always insist on quality time at the table with my family as well, and I apply the same to Casa Villa. No phones, just meaningful conversations on the dinner table.
This year, I made a garland the centerpiece. I was a bit experimental, but it turned out quite well. It is decorated with pine cones and red berries.
For a touch of whimsy, I got these candy cane Christmas tree ornaments from Crate & Barrel, cut the hanging string, and placed it on the side of our plates. It somehow makes the table setting more cheerful.
Now here's a rundown of my other favorites at Crate & Barrel: Matching "Holly" table runner and table napkins, copper plate chargers for a bit of bling on the table, a red rimmed dinner plate and Our "Merry" and "Joy" salad plates are part of a 4-piece plate collection designed by Kelly Ventura for Crate & Barrel. The other plates had "Cheer" and "Wish" on it. It's perfect for Christmas!
An heirloom on heavy rotation: The crystal champagne flutes are from my mom. I find myself admiring the intricate details each time I have a glass of bubbly.
Have you set your holiday tables already? If you haven't yet, get those creative juices flowing, give it your personal touch and most importantly, don't forget to have fun! Merry Christmas everyone!
